Kiki and Bouba were created from the dreams and wishes of children all over the world! Kiki came from all the rowdy dreams, the ones that are loud and fun! Bouba was born from all the soft dreams, the quiet fuzzy feelings in your tummy. Together they work to make you experience the exciting fun Kiki brings and the fuzzy feeling Bouba knows best.

Kiki & Bouba’s mission is to deliver fun, engaging play that entertains and offers a taste of childhood. Using Both digital and physical play aspects in their toys, they give reliable entertainment for all ages.
With Fluid Friend, I look to develop an interactive toy that integrates digital and physical aspects into one fun device. Fluid Friend offers fun, nostalgic play elements that make it fun to use at any age.
Demographic
Primary Target Demographic is children ages 7-14 and collectors of children’s toys. The secondary target demographic is parents and educators.
According to interviews conducted by Bandai, the company that owns Tamagotchi, about 40% of their product’s consumers were adults as of 2020.

Catherine is a first time mother for her young daughter, Camila. She likes buying educational, engaging, interactive toys for her daughter, who’s just starting 5th grade and wants a toy she can share with her friends.

Camila is a 5th grader with a lot of interests in nature and cute critters. She loves playing, exploring, and satiating her curiosity about the world. She’s gotten bored of playing with the blocks and dolls she already has.
Sabrina Xing
User type: The Collector
Sabrina collects cute or nostalgic toys. She works and lives by herself, so she has income to spare on toys she might not necessarily use. She keeps everything she collects on display in her bedroom.

I analyzed my product and how it would affect all 5 senses, making sure all senses worked to reinforce brand and product messaging.
A playful, interesting look grabs children’s attention. It offers visual interest and a more customized experience.

It offers an interesting tactile experience and garner engagement via touch. Embossing design patterns will make it feel premium.

An embossed logo will be on the bottom of the product for an added sensory experience and a premium, quality feel. The products will contain one of the three Kiki & Bouba signature colors to keep the connection and the association between the brand and the products.
